聖なるおとめマリアの誕生を祝うこの日、神よ、あなたが与えてくださる驚きに心を開く恵みを与えてください。もし何かがわたしの頭の中で意味を成さないのなら、それは全く何の意味もなさないのだと、世界は繰り返しわたしに語ります。わたしは批判的思考の賜物を主に感謝します。しかし、それによってわたしが驚きに、すなわちわたしの理性を超えているけれども、かえって理性に意義と調和を与えてくれる多くの事柄を見出す驚きに、心を閉ざすことがありませんように。教皇による祈りの世界ネットワークとともに、今月の教皇の意向のために、今日一日をお捧げします。アヴェ・マリア…

With Jesus in the morning
On this day when we celebrate the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, I ask God for the grace to open myself to your surprises. The world tells me so many times that if something doesn’t make sense in my head it means it doesn’t make any sense at all. I thank the Lord for the gift of critical thinking but I ask that this does not close me to surprise, to the surprise of recognizing the many things that surpass my reason but give it meaning and harmony. I offer my day for the Pope’s intention for this month, together with his Worldwide Prayer Network. Hail Mary….

Today I want to thank the Holy Trinity for giving us the motherhood of Mary, Mother of Jesus. She was a woman chosen by God to give birth to her only begotten Son. May my prayer this day be to honor you, dear Mother, for your birth and for your loving care over us, your children.

Give thanks to God for the day. Be aware of how you started and how you are finishing the day. Have you lived in an attitude of offering and availability to God the Father? What have you done to respond to the intention that Pope Francis entrusts us to the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network? Do you offer your life and your activities to the Lord? Review your way of living on the Internet and point out a way to grow in availability to the mission of Jesus. Hail Mary…
