命に、光に、愛する人々とあなたを愛する人々に、仕事に、健康に、多くも少なくも…感謝して新しい日を迎えましょう。すべては贈り物であり、仕事です。
今日、私たちは福音書記者聖マルコを祝う： 全世界に行って、全人類に福音を宣べ伝えなさい。「信じて洗礼を受ける者は救われるが、信じない者は滅びの宣告を受ける」（マコ16:15-20）。これは、洗礼の恵みを自己の賜物として生きるようにという主の招きであり、また、洗礼を受ける者、信じない者は滅びの宣告を受けるという主の招きでもあります。

Welcome the new day with gratitude for life, for light, for the people you love and who love you, for work, for health, for much or little… Everything is a gift and a task.
Today we celebrate Saint Mark the evangelist: Go into all the world and proclaim the Good News to all mankind: “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; he who does not believe will be condemned.” (Mk 16:15-20) This is the Lord’s invitation to live the grace of baptism in the gift of self: is your life a witness to gratuitous Love in the simple gestures of each day?
You are invited to collaborate in a mission of compassion for the world, to proclaim the Good News wherever you are. Ask Saint Mark’s intercession to live it fully and joyfully.

Born of a woman
Pause for a moment to ponder the Pope’s words: “In the womb of a woman, God and humanity were united, never to be separated again. Even today, in heaven, Jesus lives in the flesh he took from his mother’s womb.” (Pope Francis)
Turn your heart and eyes to Mary, wife, mother, friend, companion on the road, first disciple of the Lord, who marked the compassionate heart of Jesus. Ask her to watch over the women of the world, to open the hearts of all so that they may always be recognized in their dignity and value.
Recite the prayer of the month for women and a Hail Mary to close this moment of prayer.

End the day by giving thanks for what you’ve experienced today, for the encounters, the places, the work and the rest. Have your actions proclaimed the Gospel of Christ? Have you been welcoming, maternal in your attention to the life that is growing around you? Or have you given way to harshness, anger and bitterness with your brothers and sisters?
End this feast of Saint Mark with the hand of Mary, who knew how to be a living proclamation of her risen Son. As the Pope says, may Saint Mark’s intercession sustain us on the path of faith, so that, following his example, we may become listeners and heralds of Christ’s Gospel, bearing witness with our lives. Amen. Offer up the coming night and your rest.
