The storms have passed, but everywhere the floodwaters have returned. Right here in our own homeland—the villages of our people, the rugged and resilient land of Central Vietnam—now bend under the weight of murky waters. The hardworking people of our countryside face even greater hardships because of this disaster.
Lord, we ask You to look upon us with mercy, to soothe the suffering of our villagers. Grant peace to the elderly and the weak, protection to the children, and strength to fathers and mothers as they rebuild their homes after such heavy losses.
We pray, Lord, for the rain to stop and the waters to recede, so that our homeland may soon be restored. Light up our hearts with faith, so that even in hardship we may trust and rely on Your boundless love. Amen.
