We begin our day with the words of the prophet Isaiah: “I will create a new heaven and a new earth. The past will no longer be remembered, it will no longer come to mind” (Is 65:17). Words of hope that speak to us of God’s power of creation and re-creation! We entrust our Church to him in this time of synodal process: may he recreate it to make it a new land! I offer you my day, Lord, and I pray to you with all the Pope’s Prayer Network so that we Christians know how to place ourselves at the service of life through prayer and social commitment. When we feel overwhelmed by scientific advances, when we are overwhelmed by debates on bioethics, when we are worried about the future of human beings and especially the most vulnerable… may we know how to turn to you, Lord, to find the light that helps to discern and to draw the charity that allows us to listen to each one.
