Chúng ta hãy cầu nguyện cho những trẻ em đang chịu đau khổ, nhất là những em vô gia cư, mồ côi và là nạn nhân chiến tranh; xin cho các em chắc chắn được hưởng một nền giáo dục và có cơ hội sống trong tình yêu gia đình.

Vẫn còn hàng triệu trẻ trai và trẻ gái phải chịu đựng và sống trong những điều kiện gần như là nô lệ.
Các trẻ em đó không phải là những con số: các em là những con người có tên, có khuôn mặt riêng, với danh tính mà Thiên Chúa đã ban cho.
Quá thường xuyên, chúng ta quên trách nhiệm của mình và nhắm mắt làm ngơ trước những em nhỏ bị bóc lột, các em không có quyền được chơi, không được đi học, cũng như không được ước mơ. Các em thậm chí không có hơi ấm của một gia đình.
Mỗi đứa trẻ bị thiệt thòi, bị gia đình bỏ rơi, không được đi học, không được chăm sóc y tế, là một tiếng khóc! Một tiếng kêu lên đến Thiên Chúa và tiếng kêu ấy buộc tội hệ thống mà người lớn chúng ta đã xây dựng.
Một đứa trẻ bị bỏ rơi là lỗi của chúng ta.
Chúng ta không được phép để trẻ em cảm thấy đơn độc và bị bỏ rơi; các em cần được hưởng một sự giáo dục và cảm nhận được tình yêu thương của gia đình để các em có thể biết rằng Chúa không quên những trẻ em chịu đau khổ.
Chúng ta hãy cầu nguyện cho những trẻ em đang chịu đau khổ, nhất là những em vô gia cư, mồ côi và là nạn nhân chiến tranh; xin cho các em chắc chắn được hưởng một nền giáo dục và có cơ hội sống trong tình yêu gia đình.

CẦU NGUYỆN CHO NHỮNG TRẺ EM ĐANG CHỊU ĐAU KHỔ
Trẻ em mang đến cho chúng ta niềm hy vọng và niềm tin vào tương lai. Các em hồn nhiên, đầy lòng tốt và vui vẻ. Một trong những âm thanh yêu thích của tôi là tiếng cười của trẻ nhỏ, đặc biệt là các cháu của tôi! Đáng buồn thay, ở nhiều nơi, trẻ em không được sống cuộc sống của tiếng cười. Đúng hơn, các em phải chịu gánh nặng tội lỗi của người khác, và tuổi thơ của các em bị lấy đi.
Đức Thánh Cha Phanxicô đang yêu cầu chúng ta cầu nguyện cho tất cả trẻ em đau khổ, để các em được đáp ứng những nhu cầu cơ bản, bao gồm tình cảm gia đình và giáo dục. Nhiều người trong chúng ta coi những thứ đơn giản là điều hiển nhiên trong chính gia đình mình, phải không? Nhưng nhiều trẻ nhỏ không nhận được những điều đơn giản này do những tình huống ngoài tầm kiểm soát của các em. Tuy nhiên, điều này đã không xảy ra với các trẻ nhỏ ở nhiều nơi trên thế giới. Chúng ta thấy nhiều trẻ em không được chăm sóc tốt.
Chúng ta có thể giúp đỡ nhiều trẻ nhỏ đang chịu cảnh khổ đau bằng nhiều cách. Và dĩ nhiên, cầu nguyện là cách chúng ta bắt đầu. Sau đó, bạn hãy hỏi Chúa làm thế nào để có thể giúp đỡ các trẻ nhỏ theo những cách hữu hiệu hơn. Tôi nghĩ tốt nhất là nên bắt đầu trong cộng đồng địa phương của riêng bạn. Hãy để tôi đưa ra một vài ý tưởng để giúp bạn bắt đầu: quyên góp quần áo, thực phẩm và đồ dùng học tập; làm gia sư hoặc biện hộ, bảo vệ cho các trẻ nhỏ bị lạm dụng.

Lạy Cha Nhân Lành,
con biết Cha luôn ở với con.
Ở đây và ngay lúc này,
xin Cha đặt trái tim con
gần kề hơn Thánh Tâm của Con Cha, là Đức Giê-su,
Đấng đến và trao ban chính mình cho con trong Bí Tích Thánh Thể.
Xin Thánh Thần Chúa biến đổi con thành tông đồ của Cha,
sẵn sàng thi hành sứ mạng của lòng thương xót (compassion).
Con xin đặt vào tay Cha tất cả
niềm hy vọng và niềm vui,
cũng như những lao công và đau khổ của con,
trong sự hiệp thông với anh chị em
nơi mạng lưới cầu nguyện toàn cầu này.
Cùng với Mẹ Maria,
con xin dâng lên Cha ngày sống của con,
để phục vụ cho sứ mạng của Giáo Hội,
theo ý nguyện tháng này của Đức Thánh Cha,
và của Đức Giám Mục trong giáo phận chúng con.

Pope’s Prayer Intention – For a Church open to everyone
We pray for children who are suffering, especially those who are homeless, orphans, and victims of war; may they be guaranteed access to education and the opportunity to experience family affection.
October Prayer Intention 2022
There are still millions of boys and girls who suffer and live in conditions very similar to slavery.
They aren’t numbers: they are human beings with names, with a face of their own, with an identity that God has given them.
Too often, we forget our responsibility and we close our eyes to the exploitation of these children who don’t have a right to play, to study, to dream. They don’t even enjoy the warmth of a family.
Each marginalized child, abandoned by his or her family, without schooling, without healthcare, is a cry! A cry that rises up to God and shames the system that we adults have built.
An abandoned child is our fault.
We can no longer allow them to feel alone and abandoned —they are entitled to an education and to feel the love of a family so they know that God does not forget them.
Let us pray for children who are suffering, especially for those who are homeless, orphans, and victims of war. May they be guaranteed access to education and may they have the opportunity to experience family affection.

Reflect on the intention of November
For Children Who Suffer
Children offer us hope and belief in the future. They are innocent, full of goodness and joy. One of my favorite sounds is the laughter of little children, especially my own grandchildren! Sadly, in many places, children are not living lives of laughter. Rather, they bear the burdens of others’ sins, and their childhood is taken away.
Pope Francis is asking us to pray for all children who suffer and that they be given basic needs, including family affection and education. Many of us take simple things for granted in our own families, right? But many children are not receiving these simple things due to situations beyond their control. They have no way of keeping themselves safe and protected, no recourse, no voice. For most people, the natural inclination towards children is a desire to care for and protect them from harm. However, this is not true in all parts of the world, and we have seen many ways in which children are not taken care of well.
We can help children who suffer in many ways. Prayer of course, is where we begin. And then, ask God how you can help in more tangible ways. I think it is best to start in your own local community. Let me offer a few ideas to get you started: donate clothes, food, and school supplies; offer to tutor or advocate for abused children.
We are called to pray for and care for those in need. This intention focuses on children who carry heavy burdens. Together, let us unite our prayers with those of the Holy Father as we pray together for children who are suffering.
Monthly Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ,
you asked that we let the children come to you.
Send your Spirit, O Lord, of comfort and relief
for the many children who are victims
of marginalization, abandonment, and violence in the world.
Give us a generous heart to offer to them
concrete paths of hope
through education that opens
possibilities of freedom and decision.
Inspire in us a desire to welcome them
into the restorative love of a family
with a warm embrace and caring love
which gives them back their dignity
of being children of the one Loving Father.

Offering Prayer
Good Father, I know You are with me.
Here I am on this new day.
Place my heart once more
next to the Heart of your Son Jesus,
who is giving himself for me and who comes to me in the Eucharist.
May your Holy Spirit make me Your friend and apostle,
available for your mission of compassion.
I place in Your hands my joys and hopes,
my works and sufferings, everything that I am and have,
in communion with my brothers and sisters of this Worldwide Prayer Network.

What concrete commitment can you carry out this month to help the needs of a child close to you? - Relieving Suffering
“The Church places her motherhood at the service of children and their families. To the parents and children in this world of ours, she gives God’s blessing, maternal tenderness, and firm rebuke. We do not interfere with children.” (Pope Francis).
Can you perform a concrete act that helps to alleviate some suffering of a child who is in need? - Give Affection
“But these parents should not be left alone! We should accompany them in their fatigue, and, also, offer them moments of shared joy and joy without any worry so that they do not see themselves only occupied by their routine” (Pope Francis).
Work to approach those parents who may be suffering, and do your best to serve them with the best of your ability. - Attend to needs
“It is true that, with God’s grace, children with serious difficulties very often find extraordinary parents, willing to make all kinds of sacrifices with absolute generosity.” (Pope Francis).
Work to pay attention and to attend to the needs of the people with whom you share your time. - Cherish others
“Think what society would be like if it decided, once and for all, to establish this principle: ‘It is true that we are not perfect and that we make many mistakes, but when it comes to the children who come into the world, no adult sacrifice will be considered too costly or too great’” (Pope Francis).
Work to express affection for and value the people who are close around you.
