With Jesus in the morning
Give thanks for this day. The Lord invites you into his compassion. Like John and James, you may want to do justice on your own without remembering the mercy of Jesus. Allow yourself to be questioned now by his Word: “Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven to consume them? Jesus turned and rebuked them, and they journeyed to another village.” (Lk 9: 51-56). Rcieve this message in loving prayer, and ask for what you don’t understand and let Him answer you. How do you want to embody this mission of compassion in your day? Offer your day today for Him. Our Father.

Stop for a break along the way of your day. How are you feeling today? Pope Francis has words for you: “I want to propose a new missionary model, an example of Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus: the missionary who teaches his brothers to love God, … who teaches values, the missionary who, in his way of acting, makes God present in his life and infects others with his good spirit.” Is your way of acting, laughing, thinking, or speaking that of Jesus? Take this opportunity to ask for this grace and continue along the path hand in hand with him.

With Jesus in the night
What would you like to give thanks for today at the close of your day? Enter your heart to remember the most significant of today’s moments. In making decisions, did you put others as a priority? Did you give way to dialogue, listening, understanding, or kind gestures? How did you resolve the differences? There are no reasons to hurt others. Jesus proved this. Express the ability to love that He gave you for your brother, don’t keep it underground. Build a more humane and peaceful world from your place. Hail Mary.
